    Juliet’s Luncheon – Friday, August 22, Juliet’s Luncheon will be held at the Rochester Yacht Club, 5555 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, NY 14617 at 12:30 PM. If you plan to attend, please contact Dottie Mason.

    Summer Bible Study – We will have our LAST study this week Thursday, August 21, 6:30 PM. Session 7, Former Library Room. Come ready to share what this study has meant to you.

    GEFS “August Challenge” – Lakeview was challenged to collect 1200 cans of baked beans, and pork and beans. To help us reach—or exceed—the challenge, you can:
    1) If local, bring donations to Lakeview each Sunday this month. If shopping is a problem, drop off your cash or checks (payable to “Lakeview Community Church” with “beans” or “August Challenge” written on the memo line), and we will shop for you.
    2) If out of the area, you can mail a check to 30 Long Road, Rochester, NY 14612, designated to go toward the “August Challenge.”
    3) Amazon will also ship donations of baked beans directly to Lakeview. If you are a Prime member, shipping should be free. You can also use websites of our local stores to have beans delivered directly to Lakeview.

         If you have any small (or medium), sturdy boxes you can donate to deliver the donated beans to GEFS, place them in the Sunday School room marked   “August Challenge.”
         On Saturday, August 30, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, volunteers will be available at the church to receive your “baked beans.” We hope to be outside—if it’s not raining.
         Sunday, August 31, will be the last day to donate for the “August Challenge.”
         On Tuesday, September 2, all donations will be delivered to the GEFS.

    Bottles and Cans – Rob McCulloch still collects “clean” bottles and cans for the Mission Share Outreach Center.  Mission Share’s monthly focus continues to be pasta of any kind, spaghetti sauce, and tomato sauce.  Thank you to all who continue to drop items in our Mission Share baskets.

    Help! – In September, Pastor Rick will start a sermon series on this topic: “Why do you go (or not go) to church?” If you have an answer, let him know. Email him at: rradmiraal@sbcglobal.net — It can be a sentence or two, or a paragraph.
