Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf: Dec. Focus: Cereal and Canned Fruit

2026 Calendars – Church Calendars for Year 2026 are available in the narthex.
2026 Secret Prayer Pal Program – As many of you know, the SPP has been in existence at Lakeview for many, many years; and we are continuing again in 2026. As a reminder those who participate in the SPP Program are given a person to pray for throughout the year. Some Prayer Pals, in addition to prayer, send cards or give small gifts to their SPP; but remember, the purpose of this program is PRAYER (cards and gifts are not expected or required). If you are interested in participating, please complete the SPP form that can be found in the Narthex or you may give it directly to Audrey Blocchi by Sunday, January 11, 2026. The breakfast to reveal the 2025 Secret Prayer Pals will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall.
Consistory Mini-Minutes: The Lakeview Consistory met on Monday, December 15.
1. Mark Gill led devotions. Matthew 13:31: Jesus told them another parable: “The
kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed.” God makes it grow!
2. We considered the placement of sacred furniture in the sanctuary.
3. We discussed ways to celebrate Lakeview’s 75th anniversary, which will occur in 2026.
4. We finalized the date of Sunday, January 4, for the installation service of our new elder,
Becky Hibbard; and our new deacon, Dottie Mason.
5. We tasked the elders to write a one-page summary of the elder position. And we tasked
the deacons to do the same.
Sunday Flower Chart – Hello everyone: It has been over a decade since Mary Hart passed the Fabulous Flowers “torch” to me. I am happy to let you know that Marti O’Dell has graciously and enthusiastically agreed to continue the tradition of bringing lovely flowers to the Sanctuary each week. The cost for 2026 has risen slightly to $27 for each Sunday. Checks should be made payable to Marti O’ Dell. Cash is always welcome. Thank you all. Sherry Romanczyk
2026 Offering Envelopes – These are now available in the narthex. If I’ve missed anyone, please contact me. Linda Viney (392-1996).
“Lakeviewer” – All articles to be included in the January-February 2026 “Lakeviewer” are due today, December 21, so that the newsletter can be distributed on December 30. Remember, pictures are always welcome.
Flowers in the Sanctuary this morning are given by
Karen Altavela for her family.
Congregational giving on December 14, 2025, was $3,287.00.

We would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. May your hearts be full of the Joy of Jesus’ birth!
