Thank you to JJ TenClay, Refugee Ministries Coordinator for the Reformed Church in America Global Missions, for preaching to us this morning. Our visit from JJ TenClay will include an outing to Rural & Migrant Ministries in Lyons on Monday, Oct. 19, at 11 AM. If you are interested in coming with us, please talk to Pastors Rick or Rose.
Classis Meeting – On Tuesday, October 20, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Rochester Classis will hold its last meeting here at Lakeview. The Community Life Committee will serve lunch to the attendees. Beginning on January 1, 2027, Lakeview will be part of NEMA– Northeast Middle Assembly.

Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf – October Focus Items: Chunky Soup, Chili, Pudding, and Jell-O (regular or sugar-free). Thank you for your support.
Last Sunday (10-11-26), Pastor Rick referred to Max Lucado’s “Anxious for Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World.” Would you like to read it? This book is now available in our church library.
Mission Share Outreach Center – Rob McCulloch will continue to collect “clean” bottles and cans in 2026. Focus items for October: Pasta of any kind, canned fruit
of any kind, and toiletries. Below are holiday updates for Mission Share:
1) Lakeview will support one family for Christmas Hope this year. Gifts are wrapped at church and delivered before Christmas. The board will be ready the week before Thanksgiving to pick items to shop for.
2) For Thanksgiving this year, Lakeview is tasked with collecting 300 cans of fruit, (15-16 oz. size), to be used with Thanksgiving baskets and for Christmas. There will be boxes and signs in the Narthex to place your donations. Donations are requested by Nov. 12 for delivery to Mission Share.
3) Drivers are needed to deliver Thanksgiving baskets the Saturday before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21). Please call Marilyn Raymond (585-474-8627) if you would
like to volunteer. You will drive for one hour.
4) The Clothing Store is looking for school-age children’s clothing as well as smaller men’s sizes; winter coats, hats, mittens, and boots are always welcome.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! ‒ If you would like to show your appreciation for Pastor Rick or Pastor Rose during this month, a box to receive your cards, gifts, etc., has been placed in the Narthex for this purpose.
An Invitation to Participate – Lakeview received a significant grant from the Reformed Church in America (RCA) to help pay for our sound system upgrade. Part of the process involves taking a survey.
