Lakeview Community Church Announcements – Sunday, March 23, 2025

    Hats, Mittens, & Socks – Please help us to keep the Hats, Mittens, & Socks Chest, located at the rear of the Sanctuary, filled for adults and children in need.

    Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf – The March focus is canned tomatoes (spicey, diced, whole, etc.) and condiments. If possible, please add these to your grocery lists.
    If you are able to add pet food to your grocery list, it would be appreciated also.

    Mission Share – Mission Share is still collecting spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce. Please add these items to your shopping lists. Thank you!

    Rob McCulloch is still collecting “clean” bottles and cans from Lakeview for the Mission Share Outreach Center.  Our monthly focus continues to be pasta of any
    kind. Thank you to all who continue to drop items in our Mission Share baskets.

    Tuesday Night Bible Study – March 25, 6:30 PM – Bible Study will be led by Bill Foster.

    Juliet’s Luncheon – Friday, March 28, 12:30 PM, Davinci’s Restaurant, 1558 West Ridge Road (Stoneridge Plaza). If you plan to attend, please contact Dottie Mason.

    Vacation – Pastor Rick & Rose will be on vacation March 24 thru – March 30.  Lynn Allhusen will be preaching on March 30. Contact one of the elders if you have concerns or prayer needs.

    Volunteers Needed – Do you want to read Scripture and/or lead prayers at our Sunday worship service?  Please let Dotti Fries(lakeviewchurch3@gmail.com) or Pastor Rick (rradmiraal@sbcglobal.net) know if you’re interested.

    Easter Flowers – Sales of flowers to decorate our Sanctuary for Easter will run through today (this will be the last weekend for flower sales).                                                            Listed below are the prices in 6-inch pots: 

          Easter Lily – $10.00                      Tulip – $8.00 (pink, yellow or red)
          Mum – $9.00 (mixed colors)      Hydrangea – $18.00 (pink or blue).

    Consistory Mini-Minutes:  The Lakeview Consistory met on Monday, March 17.
    1. Deacon Patty DeLuzio led our devotions.  She reflected on Psalm 28:7a:  “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.”
    2. We approved a proposal to enhance the appearance of the fellowship hall.
    3. We anticipate the visit of Rev. Eddy Alemán, General Secretary of the Reformed Church in America (RCA).  After he preaches at our May 4th service, we’ll have a fellowship              meal.
    4. Elder Joe Romanczyk announced that we received a $1,000 grant from the Regional Synod of Albany.  This money will help fund an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
    5. Pastor Rick encouraged elders and deacons to contact the people in their care groups.

    Upper Room Supper – (Women Only at this time). In the fellowship hall is the sign-up for the Upper Room Supper, Tuesday, April 15, at 6:30 PM. There are two sign-ups: One for attending, and the other for food. Questions can be directed to Rose Admiraal or Faye Cole.

    Maundy Thursday – Worship Service (with Communion) will be held at 7:00 PM on April 17. Please mark your calendars.

    Thank-You Dinner – The Outreach Committee will be holding a thank-you dinner for the Lakeshore Fire Department on April 2. We are asking the congregation to participate by donating items for brownie sundaes. Please see the sign-up sheet in the narthex. All items need to be left in the kitchen labeled ‘for firemen’ by Sunday March 30. Thank you!
